Charlottesville-based Apex Clean Energy is helping to lead the way in Virginia's energy diversification efforts!
It’s a landmark day for the energy transition in our home state: Apex and Google have executed a power purchase agreement for Rocky Forge Wind, Virginia’s first onshore wind farm. Representing the two companies’ second collaboration, the 79.3 MW facility will advance Google’s 2030 goal to match its electricity needs with clean energy every hour of every day. As one of few wind facilities in the PJM market, Rocky Forge demonstrates how mission-aligned organizations can navigate complex business environments to deliver transformative projects. Learn more:

I agree Alex. It has been a journey but Yolunda (Armstrong) Harrell and the team at New Hill Development Corporation are making the BEACON kitchen a reality. Bravo! And the unveiling of the art piece on Saturday recognizing the funders was pretty special 🙂.
For nearly three years, I've watched New Hill Development Corporation make big dreams a reality. Supporting the BEACON kitchen from the final days of PB&J, to the Investing for Local Impact grant from the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation, and the investor meeting held to support the capital loan from Locus, its been my favorite project to have supported. I can't wait to see their new kitchen spaces come to life!
