Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women (November 25). Addressing all forms of violence against women, including violence at the intersection of gender, conflict, and the environment, is critical. Women environmental defenders in the Global South, are disproportionately targeted for their activism, often facing violence, displacement, and assassination.
