We were privileged to host Con Edison’s President and CEO Tim Cawley as our special guest and keynote speaker at our recent All-Hands meeting. NYISO employees were treated to an entertaining and educational discussion between Mr. Cawley and our own President and CEO, Rich Dewey. They explored topics of electric system reliability, decarbonization of the grid, the adoption of new technology, and the importance of collaboration between wholesale markets, grid operations and the essential work of the utilities. They also exchanged ideas on leadership, values, and the importance of meeting head-on the challenges associated with advancing the grid of the future. Thank you, Mr. Tim Cawley, and Con Edison!

We care about our environment, wildlife, and community. In Staten Island, ospreys, protected birds known as sea hawks, often nest on utility poles near shorelines and wetlands. To protect them and ensure reliability, our team replaced feeders, relocated two nests, and built safe platforms for the ospreys to rebuild.
