This #holiday season we are celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas by highlighting the resources, partners, programs, and staff that are standing by to support Veterans and military families! First up, we want to recognize Texas Veterans Network Powered by Combined Arms, Texas Workforce Commission, and the Texas Veterans Commission for working together to make Texas the first interconnected state for Veterans 🙌 This network brings together 300 veteran-focused community-based organizations and government agencies and thousands of resources that holistically serve the veteran and military community. Last week we had the privilege of representing the Texas Veterans Network Powered by Combined Arms at the Operation Homefront Holiday Meal Kit Giveaway at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration! 🎄 This incredible event, made possible through the collaboration of Operation Homefront, Boeing, and Walmart, ensured that military families could enjoy a warm holiday meal this season. Organizations including Yellow Ribbon Fund, Texas Veterans Land Board, Navy Federal Credit Union, and many others joined forces to provide support and resources to those who have served. One of the highlights of the day was meeting Marine Corps veteran and NASA Astronaut Randy “Komrade” Bresnik. Hearing his inspiring story of service—both on the ground and in space—was a reminder of the boundless potential of our veterans.
