And the other two courses lead by Evan and Mahmod Samman, Ph.D., P.E. were near to bursting as well. https://lnkd.in/gWEUdRCc The course offerings will complement your knowledge in skills in the DCU whether you are a new refiner or a seasoned veteran. Vendors can also benefit from the knowledge gained in these courses. Calling all coking personnel: For the last six years we have hosted an annual Coker Safety Group, a free event that runs alongside alongside RefComm Galveston. The group, which meets on Friday of the conference, was created to provide a technical forum to help ensure that our individual delayed coking units (DCUs) are operating in the safest manner possible. To this end, the focus of these meetings is on such issues as plant safety (including equipment and procedures), risk assessments, process monitoring, start-up and shut down guidelines, and philosophy regarding safety systems. Attendees share experiences, learn from others, and to develop ideas to operate DCU facilities more safely. No one company can have complete knowledge of these plants. Therefore, it is hoped that the collective experience of this group can help improve safety of these facilities. ***This year's topic will focus on shutdown lessons learned, a hot topic you won't want to miss. It will be held Friday, May 3 from 8 am - 2 pm.*** These meetings are closed door and highly confidential. We ask all attendees to contribute to the discussion and space is limited to two people per company. Refinery personnel only. If you would like to attend, please email [email protected] or message Becky Peterson on LinkedIn. to reserve your place. RSVPing in advance is required.
