We give wings and flight to dreams.
About us
Community Equity Partners is different. We’re on Main Street, not on Wall Street. We seek investment opportunities in the workplace, not cyberspace. We work with science and technology-based deeptech, hardtech, cleantech, medtech, advanced manufacturing, advanced materials, etc. companies primarily. But, we also work with AI, fintech, SaaS, and other industry sectors as long as we have a firm grasp of the market space. We follow an accelerate, validate, ignite model. We work with entrepreneurs before they are ready for capital, our angel group makes multiple investments in them once they are ready to observe how they absorb and use capital. Then, we leverage our venture fund and selected coinvestors to invest in the winners to get them to exit velocity as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our model is working with 6 exits in the last four years with five companies poised for IPO over the next three and two others under acquisition discussions as we speak. We turn highly technical founders into high performing entrepreneurs as a means of creating wealth for both our entrepreneurs and or investors. Come join us! We love and respect entrepreneurs! The merged ACC has directly funded $44M into 100 startups that have generated $800M in additional capital to accelerate their businesses and several highly profitable exits. In our hearts, we are entrepreneurs and we do everything we can to make them successful! We meet monthly in cities across the nation. Please visit our website to find a location near your or join as an online member. Entrepreneurs and Investors: this is where you belong.

One of our team goals for 2024: bring more communities into Community Equity Partners. One of the ways we've been doing that is by partnering with minority thought and business leaders that are already focused on uplifting and providing accessibility. As investors, we know that sometimes, the right people could really just use your support to do what they're already doing! That's exactly what DeMario McIlwain and Skilldora Inc. are doing, and we're excited to partner with him and champion minority businesses through the Get Investor Ready program. We can't wait to see what those first few "graduating" investors achieve under his guidance.
We’re looking to connect 100 minority business owners to angel investors in 2025! Will you be one? Learn More: getinvestorready.com #getinvestorready #minoritybusinessowners #skilldora #communityequitypartners

Eric Dobson and DeMario McIlwain share this gem from their podcast recording:
Did you know you can start building a relationship with an investor even in the early stages of your business? Establishing connections early allows you to showcase your vision, passion, and long-term goals before seeking funding. It also helps investors see your growth over time, building trust and confidence in your capabilities. By engaging them early, you can gain valuable insights, advice, and mentorship that may shape your business strategy and strengthen your pitch when the time comes. Remember, investors are more likely to support entrepreneurs they know and believe in—starting the relationship early gives you that advantage. Want to know more??? Find us in this great Startup Guide from Knoxville local Evan Prislovsky:
Hi friends! I have created a Startup City Guide about my hometown, Knoxville, TN. I would love for you to check it out. It is been really awesome to see how the city has developed over the years. Even experiencing the traffic jams on Kingston Pike and I-40 feels like a sign of progress. At Build In SE, we are collaborating with other ecosystem curators, so stay tuned for new and updated guides. #DenveroftheSoutheast https://lnkd.in/eBvqG6HB
