A newer client shared the main reason they are excited to work with us vs the agency they've been relying on. The other company is bigger than us and more established...but they have no quality filter. Have they hired a few people from them? Yes Have some worked out? Yes Has it taken A LOT of submittals & frustration to get there? Yes They love that we hunt for salespeople with proven experience in their industry. Quality over quantity is everything to us. That and speed... 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ Here's the truth about recruiting in 2024: Companies don't need help with volume. They can EASILY get that from posting jobs themselves. Those that work with an external agency are looking for an expert in their specific niche who can present FIVE highly-qualified candidates in a short period of time (for each opening) to ensure confidence in their hiring decision. Anything other than that and you're wasting their time (and yours). That's my recruiting tip for August. See you all in September!!

  • Founding AE's are arguably the hardest & most important revenue role for early startups (and is our favorite!) Transitioning revenue responsibilities from founder to salesperson can go horribly wrong, and on the flipside, the right hire can lead to exponential gains (in revenue & time back for founders). At this specific company, the Founding AE did so well that they asked us to hire their 2nd AE ~60 days later. Early-stage startups can't risk mis-hiring at this stage. Posting a job online & farming applicants won't suffice. We map the market, proactively approach the right candidates, and ensure our clients confidently hire AE's they know will be 💪.
