First responders volunteered their off-duty time to serve families in need. Thanks to YOUR generosity and the LEO Santa Toy Drive® 950 children in #GreenvilleSC and over 6,500 throughout Greenville County will have a joyous holiday! LEO Santa is a partnership between law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency response crews who connect with schools and community organizations to provide toys in low-income areas and to families with special circumstances.

The elevator doors open and jaws drop. Juniper is actually love at first sight. By the time you make it to your table, your knees are weak and you've snapped about 100 selfies. The attraction deepens when you order a cocktail and it's so beautiful you're not sure whether to drink it or just stare at it.🍹 By the time your food arrives you're smitten, and you haven't even set foot on the balcony. #GreenvilleSC's skyline. Twinkling lights. Laughter with friends. A cozy igloo. Juniper's outdoor experience is one of the reasons we were named to Good Housekeeping's "35 Best Places to Spend Christmas in 2024." But here's the crazy part. You know when you walk into a room and you feel awed, amazed and completely comfortable, but you aren't EXACTLY sure why? Juniper is THAT. It's all the things. And MORE. See more in the December episode of #DineGVL.

Safety on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Spark ditched Santa's sleigh and hopped on the handlebars for a bike ride with Greenville Police Department officers. Many officers are issued a bike in addition to their patrol vehicle. With more than 2 million users on the trail this year, a regular police presence is needed to respond to emergencies, injuries and provide information.

Look what just flew into Cleveland Park. Giant butterfly wings and other key pieces of Brooks' Playground, the first inclusive recreation space for children of all ages and abilities. The play equipment near Woodland Way was removed so crews can begin grading the area. Work will continue sporadically through the holidays with a closure of Lakehurst Drive for construction activities beginning January 6. In addition to accessible play spaces, the Brooks' Playground project includes additional handicapped parking, larger restrooms, shade structures and paved pathways.

Keeping downtown #GreenvilleSC merry & bright! Spark went for a ride on the Hako Citymaster 1650, a new piece of equipment purchased by Public Works this year. The compact but powerful sweeper collects 400 pounds of trash and debris daily from our downtown sidewalks and public spaces. Our Central business district Litter Crew—Toby, Donald, Leon, and Jonathan—all skilled operators of the Hako, run the sweeper every weekday to ensure Greenville’s downtown area stays in top shape. Next time you’re in downtown Greenville, take a moment to appreciate the clean sidewalks and streets—a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our Public Works team. Thanks to @bobkinglandscapes on IG for the beauty shots of our spotless sidewalks and plazas.

Efficient. Environmentally friendly. Quality working conditions to recruit and retain bus drivers and mechanics. The Greenville Transit Authority cut the ribbon on its new Greenlink Operations and Maintenance Facility. With more riders than ever relying on the bus, and a mobility plan that includes expanding routes, the new center fuels us toward the future.
