WHY PURSUE A CAREER IN THE TRADES: Interesting: Trades provide the option to work with your hands in a fast-paced environment in a job that can vary daily and add a challenging element. Living Wage Opportunities: Trades positions offer living wage opportunities. Less Time in School: The path to working in the trades can be a shorter that other career paths but with salaries comparable to jobs that require a four-year degree. This can mean less time in school (or none) and less student loan debt. Advancement Opportunity: There is opportunities for upward mobility in the trades industry.
