  • We would like to welcome our new Business Systems Analyst Brian Vogelesang to our Administrative Services Team! Brian comes to us with 10 years of experience in IT and 5 years of local government experience.   Brian has a Master's degree and two Project Management Certifications. He previously worked for local municipalities, where he assisted with projects such as ERP implementation and new security and access control systems, and implemented City-wide audio-visual conference rooms.   Brian will assist the Information Technology Division in the City of Claremont's ERP deployment.   • Be a part of our team! The Claremont Police Department is hiring a Full-Time Jailer. Jailers maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates within the City of Claremont Jail. Jailers search and book prisoners; assist in police record maintenance and identification work, including photographing prisoners and filing of reports. He/she will also provide backup break relief for Communications Officers and may be assigned to handle the operation of the Police Department's impound lot. The Jailer is a uniformed, non-sworn employee.   • We would like to welcome our new Human Resources Manager Christi G.! Christi began her career as an intern with the City of Anaheim while pursuing a Bachelor’s in Communications at California State University, Fullerton. She later joined the City of Glendora, where she progressed through increasingly responsible Human Resources roles, including Administrative Assistant, HR Technician, HR Analyst, and Senior HR Analyst. Most recently, she held the position of Principal HR Analyst with the City of Laguna Beach. Christi also earned her Master of Public Administration from California Baptist University.   Christi is excited to join the City of Claremont and contribute to a community that feels like home. She is passionate about working on initiatives that inspire the next generation to consider careers in local government and understanding what motivates employees to help reshape how organizations recruit and retain top talent. Christi is an active member of the Municipal Management Association of Southern California (MMASC), where she serves on the Mentorship Committee.   • Congratulations to Chase Berryman on his promotion to Recreation and Human Services Supervisor in the Recreation and Human Services Department! Chase has been with the City since July 2023 as a Park Ranger and Reserve Park Ranger and will now oversee the operations of the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, Park Ranger unit, and sports fields. Chase has a passion for serving the public and educating the community about the natural world, having over 10 years of experience in the field of habitat restoration, wildlife research and monitoring, and environmental education. Locally, Chase has collaborated on projects with California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Pomona Valley Audubon Society, and various educational institutions.
