Yesterday, we joined the West End community to celebrate the upcoming Pearl Cleage and Zaron Burnett Center for Culture and Creativity! This transformative space will feature a state-of-the-art recording studio, podcast studio, green rooms, a black box theatre, and so much more to support local artists and arts organizations. A special thanks to the Department of Enterprise and Asset Management for making this vision a reality and to artist Muhammad Yungai for the stunning mural outside the center, which beautifully reflects the vibrancy of this project. Opening next year, the center will be a hub for creativity and collaboration. 🎭✨ Recently, nearly 4,000 second-grade students experienced the magic of the Atlanta Ballet's "The Nutcracker" at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre! 🎄 Students enjoyed a special one-hour matinee complete with a behind-the-scenes look at the artistry and stagecraft that bring this holiday classic to life. Teachers received study guides to integrate this unforgettable performance into classroom lessons, aligning with Georgia's Quality Core Curriculum standards. This incredible experience was made possible by the Cultural Experience Project (CEP), a signature program of the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, which provides Atlanta Public Schools students with free access to the city’s top cultural venues. 🌟 #ArtsInEducation #TheNutcracker #CulturalExperienceProject #AtlantaArts #50yearsofculture
