Today is National Computer Security Day- the perfect time to brush up on your security measures! Keeping up to date with your computer hygiene can pay off greatly in the long run. Here are a few things you can do to help yourself: 1. Install and keep running antivirus software, Windows Firewall, and other critical software. 2. Always use strong passwords. Never share or write them down. 3. Require a password to log in to your computer, and log off when not in use. 4. Remove unused programs and temporary Internet files. 5. Microsoft announced it's launching a new Windows Resiliency Initiative to improve security and reliability for users.   The programs will enable more apps and users to be run without admin privileges, add controls surrounding the use of unsafe apps and drivers, and offer options to encrypt personal data.
