Forest carbon data, anywhere on Earth.
About us
Chloris Geospatial uses industry-leading technology to measure the amount of carbon stored in terrestrial ecosystems. Our state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms fuse data from multiple Earth observation satellites to provide high-quality above-ground biomass stock and change and forest cover/change data. Chloris supports companies and governments with monitoring data and insights into carbon and forest dynamics, for trustworthy investments in nature-based solutions. From deforestation to forest degradation, growth, and regrowth of trees: Chloris sees what the atmosphere sees, for every pixel on the planet, since the year 2000.

🌲 As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on a year that laid important foundations for scaling investments in forest conservation and restoration. One clear sign of progress has been the growing demand for trustworthy forest carbon data to enable meaningful action. In response, 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝟭.𝟯 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲, across several thousand sites – from small polygons to entire countries – an area larger than all of Europe. This was made possible by our scalable technology and, most importantly, by the 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀. 🤝 Your work brings our mission to life, translating data into action where it matters most: strengthening carbon markets, supporting compliance in supply chains, and fostering transparency and integrity. To our partners, colleagues, and friends – 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 for pushing us to innovate and improve. Together, we’re building the tools and trust needed to tackle the challenges ahead. And to those who joined us at our holiday reception in London last week – thank you for making it a special celebration! Wishing you all a restful holiday season and an inspiring start to the new year. ✨ #carbon #geospatial #ai

Dynamic baselines like that of VM0047 integrate remote sensing data to assess the additionally of nature based projects - an important step forward in increasing the integrity and transparency of climate action financed via market mechanisms. Great to see this recognized by The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM). At Chloris Geospatial we are working hard to make this kind of data accessible, affordable, and of high quality so that NBS projects can scale fast.
📣The Integrity Council is thrilled to announce that our Governing Board has approved Isometric a carbon crediting program focused on carbon dioxide removal (CDR), as meeting the criteria of our Core Carbon Principles (CCPs add trademark) and is now CCP-Eligible. Isometric joins ACR at Winrock International, Architecture for REDD+ Transactions (ART), Climate Action Reserve, Gold Standard, and Verra as the latest of the CCP-Eligible Programs. ✅ In addition, Verra’s VM0047 Afforestation, Reforestation, and Revegetation (ARR) methodology has also been CCP-Approved, paving the way for impactful afforestation and reforestation projects that contribute to climate resilience and sustainable development. 🌱 No carbon credits have yet been issued under this methodology, but the approval decision paves the way for CCP-labelled ARR credits to enter the market. 🔍 Why This Matters The Core Carbon Principles (CCPs) ensure that carbon credits meet the highest thresholds for quality, transparency, and accountability. By achieving CCP-Eligibility, programs demonstrate their commitment to effective governance, robust quantification, and meaningful contributions to sustainable development. 🌐 🔗 Read full release here - https://lnkd.in/dUTWDR5i

The Chloris team gathered in London this week for our annual offsite to connect in person and strategize for 2025. A highlight of the gathering was welcoming our valued partners MSCI Carbon Markets and Revalue for a morning of discussion with the full Chloris team. It was insightful to learn firsthand from our partners about the diverse and novel applications of our data across their workflows. Most of all, it was encouraging to see a shared commitment to driving greater accuracy and integrity in carbon markets, supported by the best forest carbon data. 🛰️ 🌲 At Chloris, we deeply value the close, collaborative relationships we build with our partners. These connections are essential for refining our solutions, enhancing our understanding of how our data supports their evolving needs, and driving continuous innovation. Thank you for joining us Revalue and MSCI Carbon Markets teams! Tristan Loffler Electra Panagoulia Aida Mashkouri Stuart R. #carbonmarkets #vcm #remotesensing

🌲 Not all forest carbon data is created equal!🌴 Chloris customers gain deeper insights on forest carbon projects thanks to the cutting-edge science and technology developed by our team 🛰️ ◾𝗘𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀: Our technology captures gradual changes in above-ground biomass (AGB) to quantify both carbon removals from growth of trees, and carbon emissions from deforestation and degradation. ◾ 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲-𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Data since 2000 means access to a richer history of a site, more reliable AGB stock and change data, and trustworthy insights into site-specific carbon trends over time. ◾ 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Our approach is designed for full scalability and cost-effectiveness, especially for larger portfolios. This means that budgets can be optimized and data becomes an enabler of action rather than a constraint. Discover our data in action with the FREE Chloris app. Link to the platform in comments! #earthobservation #remotesensing #carbon
