Our newest Chamberlin Care care professional ✨ Uriah comes from a family of healthcare professionals and is inspired and the most fulfilled when she can make a direct impact on her community. With over a decade of experience in the Talent Acquisition space, her journey started in DC where she built out recruiting teams and hired for small, medium, and large companies. In building and scaling companies, Uri realized that she was truly a servant leader and is the most driven and passionate about helping people reach their full potential. This realization led her to obtaining her Masters in Strategic Design followed by attending culinary school. Uri enjoys reading, making pasta, and traveling. She resides in Orange County with her husband and two very fluffy chow chows. Let’s give her the biggest Chamberlin Care welcome!

Keeping seniors warm in the Winter months - the best way we know how! Here’s a few tips + reminders to ensure they’re comfortable even when it’s chilly outside 🧣 -Dress seniors in layers of warm clothing, including long-sleeved shirts, sweaters, pants, and socks. -Provide comfortable slippers or warm shoes. -Ensure seniors drink plenty of fluids throughout the day to prevent dehydration, which can exacerbate cold sensitivity. -Use space heaters cautiously and ensure they are properly positioned away from flammable materials. -Watch for signs of cold exposure like shivering, pale skin, confusion, or lethargy. Making sure their home is adequately heated and set to a temperature of their preference will help with mobility, mood, and comfort. ✨

As the holiday season is going quickly already, we wanted to provide a few tips to help your seniors feel the warmth and love of companionship and community this winter ❄️ To help seniors avoid feeling lonely during Christmas, focus on actively connecting them with loved ones through phone calls, video chats, in-person visits, and inviting them to participate in holiday activities. It’s important to consider : ♥️ Being mindful of their energy levels, and allowing them to participate at their own pace. ♥️ To remember to be inclusive and making sure they feel welcomed in holiday traditions ♥️ Making adaptions as necessary to ensure they can enjoy and access traditions/activites Most importantly, making sure they have companionship - and that’s where our team steps in.
