A big thank you to the folks at CenterForce USA for hosting us yesterday at the IP Strategy Summit in NYC.
To be honest, my original thought was having lots of conversations around copyright infringement and how Copyleaks can assist with that.
But I was wrong..... So very delightfully wrong.
Surprisingly, despite all the news waves about GenAi, it still took center stage around most of the discussions taken place in quite a gathering of the brightest legal minds.
One of the biggest takeaways here is even legal experts are entering uncharted territory when it comes to understanding the full breadth of legal risks and consequences with Ai.
With no real hard regulation or actual court precedent set, it makes sense why theres still lots of unknowns around how to effectively leverage GenAi internally, while also considering external risk as well.
I'm no legal expert by any means, but something that holds true for anything is trying to understand the extent of what you're dealing with before taking any action.... and this couldn't be more true with Ai, even at its nascency today.
Going to be a very interesting 2025 and buckle up, we're in for a ride.
