I got a call today from someone who discovered their image (a selfie!) was being used in an ad without their permission. She wanted to understand her rights and next steps. At best she's missing out on due fees - at worst she feels violated and exploited. My PSA today is: you own your IP - and you deserve better! Creators like this one are having their content and IP stolen every day. 👉 Some brands simply don’t have the tools to license properly. 👉 Others knowingly take content without compensation. Both scenarios leave creators—photographers, videographers, and everyday people sharing their work online—without credit, payment, or control over their own art.
