Cardinal is looking for 1 to 3 individuals with 5 to 10 years of laboratory safety experience to support a research vessel in the Great Lakes. The Project would involve a week of training in March and would run from April 1 through October 31. Trips are 2 to 18 days with the average trip being approximately a week. Longer trips can be broken down into shorter duration if preferred. We want to fill between 7 and 11 trips during this period. Travel to and from the port is provided. 8-hour days in port, 12-hour days on board the vessel. There is no per diem as meals and lodging are provided on the vessel. Daily activities include safety briefings, inspections, fume hood testing, waste accumulation reporting, observing sampling activities, potable water testing, spill response, etc. The schedule will be set well in advance.
