Dispersion amongst asset classes and their components combined with higher levels of volatility and interest rates increased opportunities to be seized by hedge fund managers in recent years. At the UBP - Union Bancaire Privée Lugano Hedge Fund Conference, we had the chance to discuss with a panel a well-seasoned fund managers who shared some of their current positioning and strategies for navigating such a complex economic landscape. A second session involving some of the top allocators in alternative strategies delve into the motives for allocating into these instruments, focusing on the challenges investors face while selecting managers to invest with. Our heartful thanks go to Kevin Cole, Josh Ross and Doug Pardon for having travelled from the States to be with us along with Andrea Delucchi, Benedetto Mancini, Fabio Poma and Mario Unali for having shared their views on how they select and allocate into hedge funds.
