  • It is with great sorrow that we reflect on the passing of Troy Masters, the visionary publisher of the Los Angeles Blade. Troy was not just a leader in LGBTQ+ journalism; he was a fierce advocate for truth, equality, and the power of storytelling to drive change. Through his work, Troy brought to light stories that often went unheard and created a platform for voices that deserved to be celebrated and uplifted. Troy’s dedication to the LGBTQ+ community and his unwavering commitment to justice left an indelible mark on the media landscape. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the stories he championed, and the better world he worked tirelessly to create. We extend our deepest condolences to Troy’s family, friends, and colleagues. May his memory continue to inspire us all to fight for the values he held dear. Rest in power, Troy.
