Vision: CACN: The voice of California Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Education. Mission Statement: The mission of the California Association of Colleges of Nursing is to lead in advancing California baccalaureate and graduate nursing education. Goals: •Increase the number of baccalaureate and graduate prepared nurses in California. •Improve nursing education through public advocacy and academic leadership. •Inform policy makers and health care stakeholders regarding the current state of nursing education, trends and issues. •Facilitate ongoing and effective communication between graduate, baccalaureate and associate degree nurse educators, nursing organizations and governmental agencies. •Develop and mentor the next generation of nursing academic leaders.
