How well are you engaging the people you serve to make better decisions and get better outcomes? You can have the brightest professional minds in the room, yet we’ve found that until you listen to the people who are trying to get care and services every day, lasting, meaningful action is unlikely. CACP helps organizations build dynamic, inclusive approaches. We walk with you to learn from the people you serve for powerful, mutually beneficial results that improve care and forward your organization’s mission and goals for years to come. This is work we love to do, and we’ve been doing it for decades. Consumer partnership is the best way forward. #communityengagement #businesssuccess #efficiency #consumerpartnership #cacp

CACP President & CEO Melinda Karp is attending the National Association of Medicaid Directors fall conference. This event is filled with forward-thinking leaders who recognize that, now more than ever, we must amplify the voices of those with lived experience to drive meaningful change in our health care system. Let's work #together. #CACP #NAMD2024 #PublicHealth #LivedExperience #Medicaid #HealthcareTransformation
Great first day at National Association of Medicaid Directors Fall Conference! It has been so heartening to hear leaders from across the country prioritizing the need to elevate voices of Medicaid members and families. A few highlights include: —No program is an island. We must understand the multi-system ecosystem directly through the lens of Medicaid members. —For states just getting started in the Duals integration space it is key to talk first to individuals with lived experience about what integrated care looks like to them. —Beneficiary Advisory Councils are important engagement channels for policy and programming decisions at both state and federal levels. #cacp #namd #consumerpartnership #medicaid

We know inclusive and diverse consumer perspectives create the wide-angle lens required to understand disparities and improve equity, and we hope to see a continued increase of people with disabilities participating in the democratic process! Check out this op-ed from Sophie Hansen at Vinfen and plan to #vote by Nov 5. #fullparity #election #healthcare #livedexperience #communityengagement #unityindiversity #cacp #uniqueperspectives #voices
Director of Government Relations and External Affairs Sophie Hansen recently published this op-ed about the significance of inclusion at the polls. Ms. Hansen shared, “When individuals with disabilities exercise their right to vote, they help elect leaders who prioritize these critical issues, fostering policies that better reflect the needs and diversity of the population.” At Vinfen, we are committed to empowering people to let their voices be heard, to understand their rights as a voter, and to educate themselves on topics that are important to them as they prepare to cast their vote. Democracy is for everyone. Read more from Ms. Hansen here: https://bit.ly/4f5mPfS

The power of listening in health care: It takes a bold, forward-thinking organization to value every voice, putting lived experience at the heart of strategy. We know this is the key to creating lasting impact for both consumers AND the health care organizations that serve them. How can your healthcare system better listen to, hear from, and understand the people you are trying to serve? This is part of what we’re talking about at this week’s conference in Pittsburgh, Putting Care at the Center 2024. What are your thoughts? Comment below, and let’s continue the conversation! #healthcare #cacp #consumerpartnership #healthcarestrategy

Business success goes hand in hand with consumer partnership. This is what CACP is designed to help leaders think about: - What are the things we need to do as an organization in order to integrate #livedexperience into our culture? - How can we embody empathy in everything that we do? It’s not easy, but the potential is real. This is what keeps us going, to help you create better health care experiences and outcomes for those you serve. “In order for an organization to be successful in truly integrating the voices of people with lived experience into the very fabric of the organization, commitment and buy-in from the top down is a foundational requirement.” - Melinda Karp, President & CEO #cacp #consumerpartnership #healthcare

Next week in Pittsburgh - will we see you there? Oct 16-18 Putting Care at the Center - Pittsburgh, PA
We are officially two weeks away from connecting with everyone in Pittsburgh! Every community has an ecosystem of care. How can we be intentional about making those ecosystems coordinated, person-centered, and equitable? This work goes beyond short-term partnerships. Join us in Pittsburgh this October to learn from folks across the country and across sectors who have been tackling this exact issue. Putting Care at the Center is the annual conference that brings together the national complex care community to learn, network, and create a shared agenda to improve care for people with complex needs.
