Grant Awards Announced: Commitment by Upstate NY Municipalities to their Communities is Underscored. C.T. Male Associates has recently secured $1.8 million for local communities via three separate grants administered by the NYS HOME Program. These grants will enable the cities of Glens Falls and Rensselaer along with ADK Roots–a community development non-profit serving Essex and Clinton Counties–to provide affordable housing opportunities for residents. The awards, announced by NYS Homes and Community Renewal, will provide down payment and closing cost assistance for new home buyers, along with moderate rehabilitation assistance to existing lower income homeowners, in support of safe and energy efficient housing. These awards will not only provide much needed assistance to several of our Upstate NY communities but underscore the continued commitment of their stakeholders to exhaust all opportunities to better serve them. You may contact Jim Thatcher, Manager, Community Development, at 518.786.7400 or [email protected], or Melanie Krause, Community Development Specialist, at 518.786.7414 or [email protected], to discuss your community housing and infrastructure priorities.

At C.T. Male Associates (C.T. Male) we are thankful we can assist the communities that surround us and make up the capital region. The Village of Voorheesville is one such community. In it’s Village Report newsletter for Fall/Winter, Mayor Richard Straut credited the professional work of Melanie Krause, Village resident and C.T. Male employee, in assisting the Village in securing several grant awards. These grants have been used to improve parks, trails, gardens, village cleanliness, sidewalk improvements, and street repairs. We look forward to continuing to assist Voorheesville in its pursuit of grants to improve the quality of life in its community. See the newsletter below for this and other notable village updates:
