During a recent training C and D HR Consulting was able to share some helpful tips that we thought our LinkedIn family would find valuable. Tip #1 Venting and complaining are often used interchangeably, but there are subtle differences between the two. Venting: This usually involves expressing frustration or annoyance in a way that is intended to release emotional tension. It's often a private or personal act. Complaining: This typically involves expressing dissatisfaction or discontent with a situation or person, often in a public or formal manner. Complaining can be seen as a more assertive or demanding action. Key Differences: Purpose: Venting is often about emotional release, while complaining aims to address a problem or seek a solution. Audience: Venting is often done privately, while complaining can be directed at others, such as a customer service representative or a manager. Tone: Venting can be more emotional and less focused, while complaining is often more direct and goal-oriented. It's important to note that both venting and complaining can be healthy in moderation. However, excessive venting or complaining can be detrimental to relationships and productivity. #growth #training #hr M. C and D HR Consulting is working with a non-profit and we need your help. Our client is a small nonprofit and their employees believe that they do not get enough PTO or Holiday time. Our belief is that the employees are comparing the small nonprofit that they work for with the much larger, national nonprofit's PTO and Holidays. We are asking for anyone who sits on a Board, volunteers, or has insight to a small, non-national nonprofit to share what they have seen, in regard to PTO/Vacation/Sick time and Holidays. We thank you in advance for your assistance. #nonprofit #benefits #holidays Eyes On Me, Inc., Katrina Keys, SHRM-SCP, MBA, Brenda James, M.
