To Build the Best SCHOOLS—we engage students in real-world construction. As part of Bond Phase II for Westside Community Schools, Hausmann is renovating and expanding the middle school cafeteria, turning the construction site into a learning opportunity. In partnership with the district, our project team is helping students stay informed, geared up, and safe while they document progress for their community through YouTube updates. We recently wrapped up renovations at Westfall Hall, a student dormitory at Colorado State University, where our commitment to quality took center stage. This project required meticulous attention to detail, and we guaranteed every aspect of construction met rigorous code standards, integrating improvements without interfering with campus operations. Affordable housing is desperately needed in Omaha. BVH is working with Clarity Development to show what the historic Standard Oil building in downtown Omaha could look like after it has been rehabilitated and renovated into apartments and commercial space. Plans include 40 units on floors 2-6, and a stair/elevator tower addition on the back of the building for safety/accessibility. Preservation of the exterior is a priority as well. Rehabilitating and repurposing historic buildings like the Standard Oil building can breathe new life into downtown areas while preserving the character and history of the city. The mix of affordable apartments and commercial spaces could create a vibrant, multi-use environment that contributes to both the local economy and the community's overall well-being.
