This critical report sheds light on evolving buyer-supplier relationships across the global garment industry. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: 1,273 suppliers participated, providing 1,553 ratings across 40 buyers, including 27 Better Buying subscribers. 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: Sporting goods buyers showed better planning, with 29.4% providing forecasts six months ahead compared to just 8.2% among fashion buyers. 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: Buyers accepting existing audits increased to 90.5%, reflecting enhanced efficiency. 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Many companies are making notable improvements, like raising their scores in environmental efforts by over 12%, as reported in the latest partnership ratings. While the overall Softgoods score rose marginally (67 from 66), deeper insights highlight the importance of holistic improvements across practices like capacity planning, forecasting, and buyer-supplier collaboration.
