Recently Yuliya Pokhylko, founder of Skingenius completed the gBETA Accelerator Program with StartUp Rutland 🎉 🎉 🎉 . Over the summer, Yuliya was a guest on my Pop-Up Podcast where we discussed Skingenius and where her biggest challenge up to that point had been, which was the misfire of her initial MVP. Some key takeaways from this clip include: ➡ Even with consistent contact and follow up, if someone else is building your MVP, be aware, they may be building something different from what you wanted. ➡ Be rigorous in your vetting process if you intend to outsource the buildout of your MVP, very rigorous. ➡ If you can get a 2nd person with some experience or knowhow into the vetting process, like a technical advisor, do it. ➡ Find someone you have a genuine connection with, someone you feel comfortable and really collaborate with. Try to find someone who has more of a strategic advisor vibe versus simply providing a service. Yuliya, if you're reading this, I want you to come back for round two soon. Definitely want to talk progress now versus where you were over the summer.
