An outcomes agency at the intersection of business, politics, and policy. We make change possible.

About us

Bully Pulpit International (BPI) is an outcomes agency at the intersection of business, politics, and policy. Born in politics and founded by leaders of the Obama campaign, we apply our unique expertise from these experiences to create sophisticated and customized strategies for companies, causes and candidates. Our clients include established market leaders, new economy firms, philanthropists, CEOs, and elected officials. What these varied brands share in common is the growing need to establish differentiated and lasting bonds with their consumers in a world of fragmented media, deep skepticism, and rapidly changing culture. Reputation has never been more relevant to business ROI, and in our view requires consumers to believe — not only in what a brand is saying, but also in why. We combine proprietary technology and deeper insights to build believers with the speed and agility that today’s market requires. At Bully Pulpit International, we make change possible. To us, this is more than a commitment—it's a passion. Because we truly believe in the work we do.

We are so fortunate for so many things over the last 15 years. But it's really the power of our community that has made it all possible. Thank you all for always making change possible.

  • 🎉Thrilled to be a finalist for PRWeek’s inaugural Outstanding Public Affairs Agency! We’re proud to help drive change every day: navigating the biggest issues and headlines of the day, shaping the future of policy nationally + locally, and demonstrating community impact. The challenges of the next decade cannot be solved alone — they require both government and business — and matter to more stakeholders than ever. As leaders, brands, philanthropies, advocacy groups, and more seek to lead through today’s landscape, we’re grateful to help them make change possible. Of course, none of this would be possible without our best-in-class team and our incredible clients who trust us to do the work that matters! 🎙

It’s been a year since we changed our name to Bully Pulpit International and expanded into Europe. Our European team is now 111 strong across 5 countries and growing. It was a pleasure to mark the year and celebrate with all of you this week in London and Brussels. Thank you for hosting us! The thesis was always that the issues that will shape the next decade do not stop at a national border. We are in a moment of change. We saw it in every national election. And we see it in technology, media, energy, and geopolitics. The question our clients are asking is how do lead through moments of change – not be consumed by it. I heard this in every conversation from Parliament to board rooms. Building multinational teams is hard. But after seeing everyone this week, I couldn’t be more excited for the year ahead. Thank you all for helping make change possible. Seven Hills BPI BOLDT BPI Message House BPI

  • 💬 Gen Z has entered the chat — and they’re bringing a new relationship to work. Despite their reputation in the workforce, Gen Z shares similar values to their generational counterparts: ⏫ 82% of Gen Z respondents believe it is important to go above and beyond your job description to get ahead, compared to 82% of Millennials and 83% of Gen X. 🏆 The workforce’s youngest cohort have an intrinsic drive to work hard — 4 in 5 say it is important to go above and beyond your job description to feel like you have done your best. So what’s different? Even though Gen Z sees work as just as important to their identity as Millennials and Gen X, they place more importance on other elements of their identity outside of work than other generations. 💡 Because work is a smaller share of their core identity, Gen Z has higher expectations that compensation matches their effort. To engage and keep the newest members of the workforce, speak the language of rewarding their hard work.

How are brands preparing for the Trump Administration? Thanks to PRWeek for including some of my thoughts: "We’ve been in this divisive moment for some time, so most brands are actually well prepared. Outside of politics, 51% support doesn’t mean victory – it means total failure. Smart brands are seeking to find areas where they can lead change by galvanizing supermajority support. Fortunately, there is still plenty Americans agree on, so long as it’s in a non-political context. Who doesn’t want an America that is more competitive, offers greater opportunity, grows local jobs, invests in US manufacturing, supports our veterans, prioritizes skills-first hiring and, of course, values freedom?" "As the nature of influence changes, leaders are looking to expand on what’s authentic for them and bring these narratives to life for new audiences and increasingly in emerging cultural centers. From sports to podcasts, gaming, and niche communities, there’s a greater recognition of what media is actually being consumed. In 2025 brands need not abandon who they are. But they must realize that culture sits upstream of policy.” https://lnkd.in/e5HeQFaM
