30+ men gathered as brothers to break bread, laugh & most importantly share space. If I could use 2 words to describe our 3rd annual BIA potluck, I’d use the words authentic & vulnerable. Authentic because every man who walked into our doors came in and left as their true selves & vulnerable because everyone in attendance shared something near and dear to their heart regardless of who was present. We all know in our community it’s difficult to get our men to open up and to see our brothers invite the individuals closest to them means the world us. There’s a common denominator amongst all the men who’ve attended our group and it is the fact that they’ve all felt alone at one point or time in their life and they’ve found solace within our community. We started out this group with about only 4 brothers & To date we’ve served over 180 male adults & youth ages ranging as young as 7 years old and as mature as 80. This wouldn’t have been possible without the members of our beautiful community and our facilitators and leaders who make it a point to prioritize these circles every week ❤️ Remember if you’re a man who’s going through hard times and or seeking community don’t hesitate to reach out. We’d rather listen to your story than attend your funeral.

Last week, we hosted our annual potluck, and over 30 brothers gathered to share a meal, celebrate, and connect. Reflecting on the early days of our organization, when it was a struggle to get even two men through the door, the turnout was deeply humbling and inspiring. This event was more than a gathering; it was a testament to the growth of our organization and the cultural shift happening in real time men from all walks of life coming together to embrace vulnerability and community. Through this journey, I’ve not only developed a deeper love for my community but also learned to love myself more through this process as well. It’s okay to feel, and it’s okay to share those feelings. I’m grateful for the space we’ve created, where men of all demographics can find healing, connection, and empowerment. Thank you Angel Garcia for these amazing pictures!

Last night, over 30 brothers came together, not just to celebrate the holiday season, but to honor the camaraderie and bonds we've built that will carry us forward for years to come. It’s humbling to reflect on how far we’ve come. What started as a circle of just 3-4 individuals in 2022 has grown into a thriving community, with brothers traveling from different cities to join us, not only to celebrate but to heal together. This journey means the world to us. A huge thank you to our leadership team Edward Cedano & Carlos Aquino for helping us make this gathering possible last night and deep gratitude to Angel Garcia, Kerm from Vargas Visuals, and Reba from the Eagle Tribune for capturing such a special moment. All the content will be out soon! Lastly, an enormous shoutout to every brother who showed up last night. Your presence is what makes this community so powerful. I love y’all ❤️

Transformational. This day was magical beyond belief. As a collective we cried, danced, broke bread & most importantly laughed together in shared space. We held 2 circles throughout the day. one in the beginning of the day and another at the end and Our Youth Leader Luis helped facilitate both circles. We started the day as strangers and by the end of the day we became family. There’s power in community no matter what your ethnic background, age, or gender may be so if you’re blessed to have a community of likeminded individuals that can hold space for you cherish them, if you know of a community that meets regularly join them and if you’re missing both create one. To the men in our community if suicide ever crosses your mind, we’d rather listen to your story than attend your funeral. If you haven’t heard this today we Love & appreciate you. join us on this pursuit towards self awareness ❤️ Share it his post for awareness! 🎥: Kermit Vargas
