Building momentum!   BBC Studios continues to partner with the best in the business to fuel the popularity and reach of British content.   In the headlines (see comments for links) just this week alone...   🏆 BBC Studios has been honored with 7 Critics Choice nominations, including 3 for Baby Reindeer, 2 for Ghosts, and nominations for Doctor Who and Bluey.   📺 We revealed exclusively in Variety that The Jetty, a mystery thriller starring Jenna Coleman, will jointly premiere on BritBox and Hulu next week. And next year, our BAFTA-winning comedy Black Ops will come to Hulu while the Hugh Bonneville and Karen Gillan-led dramedy Douglas Is Cancelled will arrive on BritBox on March 6. Examples of the incredible content we're bringing to global audiences.    🎬 And today, BritBox revealed its exciting 2025 slate in The Hollywood Reporter, which includes our highly-anticipated period drama Outrageous, based on the Mitford sisters, Anjelica Huston in Agatha Christie’s Towards Zero, and our hit mystery series Ludwig.   It's no wonder that The Times reported this week that American homes are turning on to British TV content and talent like never before, with British TV exports to the US up13% in the last year to a record £593 million.   I couldn't be more proud. I have always appreciated the power of storytelling on the small screen, and I have been fortunate to spend most of my career working with great television—first at HBO and now at BritBox. It was a pleasure to take part in The TV of Tomorrow Show last week and discuss “Can we save great television?” with optimism and humor alongside Rick Howe, Jonathan Barzilay, and David Bianculli from NPR. It will continue to take creativity, resourcefulness, and ingenuity but the future of great television is bright. #TVOTNYC

LUDWIG, starring David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin, has proven to be a sensation in the UK, delivering 9.5 million viewers over the past month. BritBox is excited to share we have signed on to co-produce the series, with Season 1 premiering on the service in early 2025. He joined a panel of fellow industry veterans Louise Pedersen (All3Media International), Samantha McMillon (Quay Street Productions), Cathy Payne (Banijay Rights), and Andy Harries (Left Bank Pictures Ltd.) to discuss the creative financial problem solving required to take ideas to screen in the current climate and to offer insightful solutions.
