A huge congratulations to JDRF Australia and the hundreds of advocates who worked so hard to secure over $50MM in funding from the Australian Government to support #T1D research!  Our vision as a global organization is a world without type 1 diabetes. This commitment gets us another step closer to this goal. We look forward to partnering with our Australian colleagues to fund the most promising #T1D research that will accelerate life-changing breakthroughs for the entire T1D community.

We loved seeing all the landmarks lit up blue in recognition of #WorldDiabetesDay last night, including One World Trade Center, right outside Breakthrough T1D HQ! ICYMI, yesterday we launched Project Accelerate Cell Therapies, or Project ACT, a groundbreaking initiative focused on accelerating cell therapies as cures for T1D. Project ACT is designed to fast-track progress by simultaneously advancing research, development, regulatory pathways, access, and adoption of these life-changing therapies. The leadership, staff, and volunteers of Breakthrough T1D mourn the sudden loss of five T1D Champions on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024. Jeff and Michelle Bauer, Josh and Tammy Stahl, and Barry Sievers were pillars of the Breakthrough T1D Ride community and all veteran Ride participants.
