Celebrating Sustainability and Innovation in Mixology! We’re excited to announce that Jon Schott from Lucky Buns DC has won the Zero/Low-Waste Cocktail Mixologist of the Year Awards Competition! Held on September 26th at the stunning Wild Days rooftop bar in the eco-friendly Eaton DC Hotel, this event dubbed the ‘Crusade for the Capital 2’ highlighted the creativity and talent of the DMV's top bartenders. Jon’s exceptional cocktail, “So Fresh + So Clean,” wowed the judges and audience alike. Here’s his winning recipe: * 2.0oz Blackleaf Organic Vodka * 2.5oz Cold Brewed Mint Tea * 0.75oz Salted Honeycrisp Cordial * 0.5oz Acid Adjusted Honeycrisp Cider * Lemon Oil * Mint Fog Garnish   This competition, co-hosted by Blackleaf Organic Vodka, Rellies Hospitality, and the Organic Trade Association, showcased the importance of #sustainability in #mixology. Each mixologist incorporated fresh, local ingredients from The People’s Market, demonstrating that eco-friendly cocktails can be both delicious and innovative. “We’re proud to celebrate National Organic Month and to highlight how organic spirits can enhance the cocktail experience while supporting sustainable practices,” said our founders.
