When someone starts sharing their book ideas, one of our favorite things to ask is, "Among these ideas, which one are you most inclined to see through to completion?" You see, a lot of times, one idea holds a unique sway over the rest. It resonates deeply with your overarching goals and aspirations. On the other hand, while other ideas may be great, they tend to take a backseat should any other opportunity arise. What matters most is honoring your commitment to yourself. So, take a moment to ponder: Among all of your ideas, which one stands out as the most likely for you to see to completion?

Here are two ways that you can get great leads by having a book. #1: Include free resources throughout your book. If there is something that you can elaborate on in the form of a checklist, handout, or giveaway, have a direct call to action and people will become leads that way because of the value you provide. #2: If someone is interested in your book, give your book to them for free in exchange for their email address. If you do these two things, you're going to be able to generate a ton of leads and you're going to be able to do it at a low cost, making the back end much more profitable. When you are writing a book, there are two types of content that we recommend you use to boost your awareness, get people qualified, and get people ready to buy before the book is even launched. #1 - Document The Journey This is where you are sharing your milestones. "Hey, I finished my first draft! Here are my covers! Here's this! I'm launching on this date!" This is where you're documenting the journey and the milestones. #2 Teach Your Content This is where you are teaching what the book is about in your social content to get people excited. By doing this, you've brought people along on the journey by documenting. And then you've taught people that you are the expert. When people feel connected to you and they feel that you have the answer, they're more likely to work with you. If you're writing a book, you want to focus on these two types of content.

While writing his 4th book, Big Idea To Bestseller Founder, Jake Kelfer, got a lot of questions about how he decided his topic. One of the most frequent questions he got asked was "What should my book be about?" So he went back to the fundamentals. He asked himself "What is my expertise?" He asked himself "What are people already asking me and what do they want information about?" He also asked himself "What am I already getting paid to do?" When he thought about these things, the only topic that made sense was to write a book on how to write and launch a bestselling nonfiction book! If you've been wanting to write a nonfiction book, ask yourself these same questions. Choosing your book idea is much easier than you think. To generate new outcomes within your business, it's imperative to adopt new approaches. We've often heard that the definition of insanity is repeating the same actions and expecting a different result. We often nod in agreement with this concept, acknowledging its apparent wisdom. Yet, many of us fall victim to doing exactly this in our business. Now, don't get me wrong—consistency can definitely bring great results. But when you find yourself tirelessly repeating things that fail to bring any positive outcome, it's time for a change. In times like this, I shift my perspective. I start by asking questions and considering situations from a different angle. Here's a question that may assist you when you hit a roadblock: If you needed to achieve the same or even better results for your client but had to accomplish it in half the time, what modifications would you need to implement?
