Around 2015, I had the incredible opportunity to join one of the finest liberal arts universities known as Ashesi University. At Ashesi, we were not just students; we were being shaped into ethical and entrepreneurial leaders—leaders who think critically, embrace philosophy, and act with compassion and unwavering integrity. As I delved into the rigorous academic material, I couldn’t ignore the millions of societal challenges crying out for solutions. Out of deep emotion and a desire to make an impact, I founded several initiatives. At one point, I was burning out—driven by profound compassion but struggling with emotional regulation. Then, something extraordinary happened: I was selected to be a Dalai Lama Fellow. This world-class program, guided by the curriculum of Head, Heart, and Hands, taught me to lead with inner values. My mentor, Bela Shah, JD, ICF-PCC, Wellbeing, EI, and Leadership became a guiding light, pouring her heart into empathetically listening to my struggles and guiding me through a journey of self-discovery. With Bela's mentorship, I learned mindfulness meditation, how to practice equanimity, and how to make decisions from a place of wisdom instead of raw emotion. That year-long journey transformed my life, helping me navigate leadership with balance and intention
