Happy LGBTQ+ Business Week! This past year, queer-owned businesses have faced increased targeted harassment and violence. Storefronts have been vandalized, venues have been threatened, events have been terrorized, and LGBTQ+ small business owners have been brutalized. Queer-owned businesses are under attack and need our support more than ever. Recent studies found the urgency: average screen time has surged, with some adults spending over 19 hours a day on devices, leading to increased stress and sleep disturbances. Embracing digital wellness means prioritizing meaningful connections and activities, fostering a more fulfilled and less digitally cluttered life. I will be doing as I say, and taking some time this week for recovery, rest, reactivation, and return back to work next week my full self to wrap up this semester.
