  • 65% of respondents update their JDKs regularly, but 10% only apply updates when critical issues arise. This gap in security practices puts applications at risk. While updates are essential, challenges remain in balancing stability and security. Our survey also found that delays in security releases are a leading reason for teams to consider switching JDK providers. Learn more about these findings and what they mean for Java teams in our full report: https://lnkd.in/gVqQDuWg #BellSoftJavaReport

  • Following up on our recent survey insights: many organizations continue investing heavily in enhancing application written on Java 11 and older versions. However, there’s a simpler, more cost-effective solution on the horizon. Liberica JDK Performance Edition delivers up to 15% improved performance for legacy Java apps — without the need for a complex migration. Wondering how much your team could save by migrating to Liberica JDK Performance Edition? Request builds for testing and find out what the difference is: https://lnkd.in/gMJCkuxA

  • Our survey found that two-thirds of organizations continue using Java 11 or earlier in production, despite the release of newer, more performant and resource-efficient versions. ❓ Why isn’t migration prioritized? For 21% of respondents, business leaders don’t view upgrading Java versions as urgent. Yet, this approach incurs technical debt that can impact long-term profitability. Older Java versions often struggle to handle growing request volumes, consume more resources, and drive up operational costs, as they require more infrastructure to achieve the same outcomes as newer, optimized Java versions. ❓ How much does this choice cost? Almost 23% of organizations allocate budgets specifically for performance improvements on Java 11 and earlier. Some hire consultants or expand internal teams to keep these applications running efficiently — costs that could be minimized simply by switching to specialized JDKs like Liberica Performance Edition. ❓ Key takeaway: Java modernization isn’t just a tech update — it’s a strategic decision that can enhance efficiency and cut long-term costs. Aligning tech upgrades with business goals is key to future-proofing applications. #BellSoftJavaReport https://lnkd.in/gVqQDuWg
