Let's talk openly about fees. Charging ~1% of AUM for wealth management & financial planning is a mental barrier for many prospects. (And in ways, this fee structure is bizarre, seems due for a makeover.) Especially for these personas: 1️⃣ Confident DIY'ers who've had great performance 2️⃣ HNW (over $1M investable assets, even when fees <1%) 3️⃣ Millennials who've drank robo Kool-Aid or think ChatGPT is their advisor Having insight into all three perspectives, I explain in the full video why hiring an advisor was a valuable decision for me. While I intimately know the finserv space unlike your average prospect, there's one pain point that fueled the move: "You don't know what you don't know, Emily." And that's universal. This thought nagged at me for years, kept me up at night. My situation was only getting more complex and it was an energy cost. But I don't see this angle in a lot of messaging yet. Social media tip: how to earn attention in 2025 LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.: All are powered by interest graphs, not chronological feeds. It doesn’t really matter what time of day you post. The algo will surface the post to the right people whenever. This means you don’t need thousands of followers to reach a big audience—just enough for social proof. We used to obsess over posting at the optimal time of day and growing followers. Don’t worry about that anymore. Instead of chasing followers or vanity metrics, focus on creating content that drives engagement. Share valuable insights, and don’t be afraid to go zero-click—give people the full story right in the post. No links, no gates. You can reach So. Many. People. For. Free.
