"If now isn’t a good time for the truth, I don’t see when we’ll get to it." — Nicki Giovanni Today, we honor the extraordinary life and legacy of Nicki Giovanni, whose words empowered us to speak truth boldly and unapologetically. Through her poetry and activism, she challenged societal norms, celebrated Black joy, and reminded us of the power of honesty in shaping a better future. At Be Equitable, her call for truth resonates deeply with our mission to create inclusive and equitable spaces. Equity and inclusion demand bravery—the bravery to confront challenges, to listen deeply, and to act with integrity. Nicki Giovanni’s work reminds us that truth-telling is not only transformative—it is necessary. Let her legacy fuel our commitment to a world where every voice matters and every story is valued. #Legacy #NikkiGiovanni #Activist #Poet #Human

This Thanksgiving, our team is reflecting and engaging in truth-telling as a way to acknowledge the history of this day while holding space for its complexities. We invite you to customize your Out-of-Office message in a way that honors the voices of Indigenous communities and reframes traditions with truth and respect. 📩 Here is our message—feel free to use it or modify it for your team: For many of us, Thanksgiving is seen as a time to enjoy family, friends, and good food, but beyond our current traditions lies a history of colonialism and misrepresentation that has been handed down through generations. We invite you to listen to the voices of Wampanoag youth reflecting on what Thanksgiving means to them: 🎥👇 https://lnkd.in/eUV6c7sy #Thanksgiving #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #BeEquitable

🌟 Building a Vision for Belonging at Oxford College of Emory University 🌟 Last week, Be Equitable consultants Falon Thacker, Ph.D., and Shari Davis, SPHR, SHRM-SCP (she/her) led a transformative strategy development experience for Oxford College of Emory University, setting the foundation for their DEI vision over the next 3–5 years. The energy in the room was contagious, filled with optimism and dedication to fostering an environment where all students, faculty, and staff feel a deep sense of belonging. A heartfelt thank-you to the incredible project team who made this experience seamless: Claudia Zanjanchian, Lindsey Van Note, Molly McGehee, and Michele Hempfling, Ph.D. Together, we’re reimagining what’s possible when equity and inclusion are at the center of our work and goals for the future. #BeEquitable #StrategicVision #EquityInAction #Belonging #HigherEducation

At Be Equitable, we know that transformative change begins with people—each of us doing the work to create spaces where everyone feels truly seen, heard, and valued. Last week, we reaffirmed our vision: a world where equity is more than just an aspiration—it’s reality. This week, we’re highlighting how we help make this vision real. Through consulting, tailored learning experiences, and digital learning tools like CultureVision®, we provide the resources needed to build workplaces and communities that thrive on inclusion and justice. Our belief hasn’t wavered: equity work is the work that will shape a better tomorrow. Let’s continue building a world where our future selves will thank us for the choices we make today. 🤝 Together, let’s change the world. 🌎 #Equity #Inclusion #OrganizationalChange #BeEquitable #WorkplaceEquity
