Patrick, our Director of Recruiting, shares his favorite holiday traditions: "This holiday season I am looking forward to spending time with friends and family. I enjoy going up north with my parents and getting out on the lake for some ice fishing. I love holiday food and treats, and the comfort that having a home full of loved ones brings. This time of year, many look forward to the shining lights and festive decor adorning homes, shop windows, and streets. Especially when the days feel long and dreary, these beacons brighten our outlook and uplift our spirits. So, in the spirit of the season we plan to #SpreadJoy through our Holiday Drive. This effort aims to bring our community together to share light and joy with those in need. Chia, our Payroll Specialist, shares that she loves when others spread the festivities as well: "There’s a house on my commute to work that always goes all out with their outdoor decorations every year. Their yard is always so brightly lit that it’s a good way to start off my day. I aspire to be that house one day. I also really like seeing when people place their Christmas trees right by their front windows so that they’re viewable from the outside. Taking down the decorations is a lot of work, but I do believe it helps put people in a better mood with the cold. I’m also looking forward to the opening of gifts. I come from a family with a lot of younger kids who still get excited over anything they’re gifted so that makes the holidays fun for us." Mara, our Marketing Coordinator, shares what she is looking forward to during the Holidays. "I love celebrating the "magic of Christmas". Putting up lights, decorating the tree, and celebrating giving is what makes this time of year special. As a child, the Holidays were so full of wonder and excitement. I remember thinking that I could hear jingle bells and hooves on the roof on Christmas Eve. I hope these gifts bring the same feeling of joy and wonderment to others." That's why for our #SpreadJoy Holiday Drive we are collecting toys and treats to give families lasting memories they won't soon forget. Derek, our VP of Sales and Marketing, shares his favorite part of the Holidays is spending it with his family: "This holiday season, my heart is full of excitement as I look forward to spending cherished moments with my two daughters, who are 5 and 2 years old. There is something truly magical about this time of year that feels even more extraordinary through the eyes of young children. Their wonder, amazement, and pure joy transform even the simplest traditions into something spectacular. From the way their faces light up at the sight of twinkling lights and festive decorations to the giggles and squeals of delight as they unwrap gifts, every moment feels like a treasure. It’s not just about the presents; it’s about the shared experiences—baking cookies together, reading holiday stories by the fire, and singing their favorite carols (even if we’re a little off-key). These simple, yet profound moments remind me of the beauty of the season and the importance of slowing down to savor the laughter, love, and wonder they bring into our home.
