I am thrilled to be able to share that I have been selected as the 2024-2026 Siegel Family Endowment research fellow. For the next two years, I will be working with All Tech Is Human to research and write about the emergence and evolution of a responsible technology workforce. Beyond describing the workforce itself, it is my hope that in writing and thinking about it, I also help to foster the conditions, the pipelines, and the education to cultivate this profession, and to help craft a new vision for technological culture and production that centers human values. I am grateful to Siegel Family Endowment and All Tech is Human for this opportunity, and thrilled to work with David Ryan Polgar, Rebekah Tweed, Sandra Khalil, Alexandra Feldhausen, Sarah Welsh, PhD, Matthew Skomarovsky, Sherine Kazim, the whole ATIH community, and the 2024 incoming Siegel Fellow cohort, led by Madison Snider, Ph.D.. I could not ask for better partners in this work, and I'm excited to get going!
