The mission of Akron Public Schools is to ensure that each student in our diverse population reaches their fullest potential in a safe and affirming environment. Education is everyone's responsibility. We take the lead. - Akron Public Schools is located in Akron, Ohio, in the northeastern part of the state. It is the fifth largest district in Ohio with approximately 23,000 students enrolled.
