Last week, #AirspaceLink attended the National League of Cities City Summit conference in Tampa, where we engaged with city officials on how cities can kickstart their #drone program if they don't know where to begin, how cities are utilizing #drones within various departments if they already have a drone program, and the need to manage those operations under one unified, secure, and all-inclusive platform. We are also partners with #NLC on their first Drone and Aviation Advisory Forum, helping educate cities on this growing industry and how they can be prepared to reap the benefits of drone integration and drone technology. To learn more about how we are helping cities through our FlySafe Program, check out our case study videos: https://lnkd.in/gFWb_Fcm #NLCCitySummit #SmartCities #DroneIntegration #UAS

Thank you to everyone who joined us this week at the Advanced Aerial Innovation Region (#AAIR) Forum at Newlab Michigan Central in #Detroit. Airspace Link, Inc. was proud to co-host this exciting kickoff event with Michigan Central and Newlab, marking the official launch of the initiative. The AAIR initiative was created by Michigan Central and Michigan Department of Transportation as part of a pioneering effort to accelerate commercial drone development in Michigan. As a presenting partner alongside Newlab, Airspace Link will provide operational support to participating drone operators as they develop and test innovative use cases - from medical deliveries to infrastructure inspection. This collaboration between industry leaders, federal regulators, and local municipalities aims to advance policy, create jobs, and establish the Detroit area and the State of Michigan as a leader in next-generation aerial mobility. The AAIR Forum event brought together key stakeholders across industry, government, and technology to address crucial aspects of aerial mobility integration, from infrastructure and software requirements to policy frameworks and community impact. A very special thanks to our distinguished panelists who shared their expertise across critical topics including regulatory harmonization, technical infrastructure, and practical applications in healthcare, public safety, and urban development, including: Angela McCullough (Deputy Executive Director Federal Aviation Administration UAS Integration Office), Michael Robbins (President and CEO, AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International), Bryan Budds, C.M. (Aeronautics Director, MDOT), Justine Johnson (Chief Mobility Officer for the State of Michigan), Matthew Whitaker, Director of Mobility Innovation Platform, Michigan Central), Jim Cieplak (uAvionix Corporation) Dr. Tim J. Nohara (Accipiter Radar), Colleen Hau (Newlab), José Barzallo (Director of Operations, Aerialoop), Adam B. (System Vice President Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Henry Ford Health), Gregory C. (Chief Operating Officer, Volatus Aerospace), Maria Mercedes Galarza NCARB Galarza (Deputy Director, Office of Sustainability, City of Detroit), Tarek Rakha (CEO, Lamarr.AI), Robert Harris(Detroit Police Department), Jake Bouchard (Oakland County Sheriff's Office), Matt Rybar (President, Michigan Public Safety Drone Association (MIPSDA), and Katie Soven (Managing Director, Newlab at Michigan Central). #AerialMobility #Aviation #Detroit #Innovation #UAV #UrbanPlanning

The FAA's Part 108 rule on #BVLOS operations is a key step for the #drone industry, setting a framework for safe, efficient, and scalable use across public safety, delivery, critical infrastructure, and more. #AirspaceLink fully supports advancing this rule to provide communities with the tools they need to leverage #drones responsibly and effectively. For cities, adopting drone programs now prepares them for the upcoming transformation, helping create more connected and responsive communities. Read more from AUVSI — Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International Michael Robbins and Commercial Drone Alliance Lisa Ellman on why this matters for cities and the drone industry: https://lnkd.in/eBHnB83B #Part108 #UAS #DronesForGood #SmartCities

Airspace Link’s Co-Founder, President, and CEO, Michael Healander, spoke at the SEMCOG General Assembly yesterday alongside Kevin Krause, highlighting how cities like Romulus, Michigan, are stepping up to embrace the future of #drone technology. With the help of #AirspaceLink to open its airspace around DTW, #Romulus is setting a strong example for other communities. As cities start to integrate #drones into their operations, such as public safety and inspection use cases, being prepared is essential to unlocking new opportunities for residents and businesses alike. Last week, we had an incredible time exhibiting at the League of California Cities conference in Long Beach! It was great connecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones while learning and discussing how #drones are helping transform various departments, from public safety to public works and beyond. We're excited to continue supporting cities by helping them start a #drone program if they haven't already and helping them manage their existing program seamlessly under one platform for entire oversight by all departments. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth—we loved chatting with you! Let's keep building smarter, safer communities together. #AirspaceLink #FlySafe #DronesForGood #SmartCities #PublicSafety #GovTech

Last month, #AirspaceLink was honored to support and play a key role in the MHA Drone Project, which was funded by a U.S. Department of Transportation grant. The Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara (MHA) Nation, also known as the Three Affiliated Tribes, is located on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in central North Dakota. During Phase 1, we collaborated with partners to demonstrate how #drones can support rural medical delivery between health clinics within Tribal lands. We created a ground risk analysis leveraging our #AirHub® Portal platform, which helped secure #FAA approval for the #BVLOS waiver and enabled real-time #drone tracking during the flight. We also integrated with radar, ADS-B data, and telemetry data to enhance situational awareness and ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the operations. The MHA Nation is now using AirHub® Portal for #UAS planning and operations. This common technical platform can support their workforce development goals as well as current and future UAS operational plans.
