I was so happy to present the 2024 Ronald C. Davidson Award at the end of the #AGU2024 Space Physics and Aeronomy sessions on heliospheric turbulence. The Ronald C. Davidson Award for #PlasmaPhysics is awarded annually to recognize outstanding plasma physics research by a Physics of Plasmas author. The prize was established in 2016 in collaboration with the APS Division of Plasma Physics in honor of Ronald Davidson’s exceptional contributions as Editor-in-Chief of Physics of Plasmas for 25 years and his high standards of scientific publishing. This year’s recipient of the Ronald C. Davidson Award is Dr. Julia Stawarz (Northumbria University). The award recognizes her 2022 paper titled “Turbulence-driven magnetic reconnection and the magnetic correlation length: Observations from Magnetospheric Multiscale in Earth’s magnetosheath.” Also glad that Greg Howes (University of Iowa, and 2016 RCD Award Recipient) and Joel Dahlin (University of Maryland College Park, and 2019 RCD Award Recipient) joined in congratulating Julia! https://lnkd.in/gDtFxZeT
