It was great to speak to the Founders Fellow's at the University City Science Center - they are such an engaged group of entrepreneurs. Best of luck in all your ventures, Founders.
As part of the Founders Fellow's CEO series, Patricia Lucas-Schnarre from Ahersla Health, Inc. spoke with the Fellows about her work in using technology of olfaction (the sense of smell) to redefine assessing and treating health conditions. "We think about smelling as something we do with our nose - we don't think about it happening in the brain," she noted, explaining that loss of smell is an early bio marker for both Alzheimers and Parkinsons - and that newly emerging evidence indicates that olfactory enhancement may help with cognitive function. Founders were able to participate in some sniff testing themselves! And we'll be seeing Patricia and Ahersla Health next week when she arrives as part of the 6th Cohort of the Capital Readiness Program!
