One of the best gifts this holiday season? Another successfully completed project! Nate Vaughan (Owner’s Rep / Construction Manager) led this project alongside The H+H Group, bringing this new Kia dealership at Steel Ridge to the finish line with RDG Planning & Design, Lueder Construction Company, Advanced Engineering Systems, Inc., and Thompson, Dreessen & Dorner, Inc. Bringing in the holidays with a great team and incredible partnerships!

Affordable housing is desperately needed in Omaha. BVH is working with Clarity Development to show what the historic Standard Oil building in downtown Omaha could look like after it has been rehabilitated and renovated into apartments and commercial space. Plans include 40 units on floors 2-6, and a stair/elevator tower addition on the back of the building for safety/accessibility. Preservation of the exterior is a priority as well. Rehabilitating and repurposing historic buildings like the Standard Oil building can breathe new life into downtown areas while preserving the character and history of the city. The mix of affordable apartments and commercial spaces could create a vibrant, multi-use environment that contributes to both the local economy and the community's overall well-being. It was worth the wait! We had the honor of hosting the grand opening of our Frank Kumor Career Center last week. BPS Board of Education and Superintendent Dr. Jeff Rippe were excited to welcome dignitaries, students, staff, alumni and the community into the new facility. U.S. Congressman Mike Flood, State Senator Rita Sanders, and Bellevue Mayor Rusty Hike were among the dignitaries that joined members of the Kumor family to officially open and dedicate the Frank Kumor Career Center. Mr. Kumor was a longtime Bellevue businessman and served on the Bellevue School Board for over two decades. He believed strongly that all children deserved an opportunity and he greatly supported the trades. His legacy will live on for many student generations to come! About the Frank Kumor Career Center: Bellevue Public Schools offers various career and professional studies programs at the Frank Kumor Career Center, named after long-time Board Member and supporter of the district, Frank Kumor. These programs enhance high school students’ education with real-life and relevant learning experiences in collaboration with local businesses, non-profits, and industry professionals. Students engage in high-level, project-based, and on the job experiences and internships to demonstrate their learning in the classroom. Students will gain valuable professional skills and relationships through programs that connect to the Nebraska career clusters and local industries and institutes of higher education. The center currently offers the following programs: Automotive Maintenance, Aviation, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Education.
