Today is Giving Tuesday - our national day of generosity - and we have a very special request. When we lost our beloved Chief Lending Officer we decided to honor his generosity, passion, and mentorship by creating an internship in his name. The Leonid Ostrovsky Lending Internship supports recent grads who want to learn about helping small businesses in our communities. Please click to help us honor Leonid's passion for lending, for mentoring young people, and for supporting New York's immigrant entrepreneurs with a gift today, no matter how small: https://lnkd.in/e2E7F8Mh

Congratulations to Wells Fargo on the opening of their first branch in Queens, which will increase to access to financial services for Queens residents and businesses. We're grateful to have a partner like Wells Fargo, which has supported us with grants & capital that was crucial during & post pandemic to support our clients with PPP loans and emergency loans. We were also pleased to receive a new grant of $50,000 that will provide the loan loss reserve that we need to leverage low-cost capital grant of $500,000 from the SBA. Special guests included Saul Van Beurden, CEO of Consumer and Small Business Banking, who spoke about Wells Fargo’s commitment to ensuring that their clients also receive the one-on-one in person attention in this age of increase in online financial services, as well as Assembly Member Edward Braunstein, Queens Chamber of Commerce President Thomas J. Grech, and Catherine Domenech, head of community relations at Wells.

We love sharing client success stories so recently we were able to enjoy a terrific morning of client site visits with Elissa Bard and Alyssa Cook from the Goldman Sachs Urban Investment Group. Visits included a trip to the Harlem Meer to see the progress of the green roof construction being carried out by client Adaptive Green, then on to the brand new Roasting Room which was just opened in the South Bronx by clients Sarina Prabasi and Elias Wossenu Gurmu, co-founders of Buunni Coffee, and finally to a delicious lunch at client restaurant KHALIL BIRYANI HOUSE in the Parkchester section of the Bronx. And special thanks to client (and woman-owned business) DH2 Chauffeured Transportation for getting us seamlessly from business to business!
