    • Slide 2. Make Every Party a “Roll”-y Good Time:
Hosting a holiday bash? Ensure it’s accessible so everyone can join the fun! Keep pathways clear, doorways open, and give wheelchair users plenty of room to make the rounds.
    • Slide 3. Deck the Halls Without Overloading the Senses
Holiday lights, jingling bells, and crowded rooms may be a party for some but can feel like a total sensory overload for others. Think about offering a chill zone where people can relax, and keep the flashing lights on your website to a minimum.
    • Slide 4: Hybrid Events for Holiday Wins:
Not everyone can attend in person, so add some hybrid magic! A virtual option lets people join from home in their PJs—just remember captions, inclusive design, and a dash of holiday cheer!
    • Slide 5: Nice List Rule: Just Ask!
Wondering how you can help someone feel comfortable at your event? Just ask! People appreciate when you take the time to find out what works best for them. Whether it’s a physical adjustment or a digital tweak, small efforts show big holiday spirit.

The US disabled unemployment rate should be the same as the US unemployment rate

It’s working… That’s how I feel about things right now. They’re working. Business. Health. Life. Family. (Well this needs some work) I’m a single dad and my relationship with my kiddo hasn’t been stronger… But family is and will continue to be a focus for me. Just like with business, life, and health, the success I create in my family starts and ends with me. And across all 4 categories, I believe looking back, I’ll be proud of what I’ve done. The conversations about Pokémon, Bluey, and Gabby that mean nothing now but mean everything in 20 years. The skipping in the parking lot, making fart noises, and everything that makes her laugh for free. The pushing her to do homework, cuddling on the couch, and telling her the truth. Every day, this relationship, my family starts and ends with me. Every day, my business, my health, my life starts and ends with me. And every day adds up. Make me smile in the comments with an area you’re struggling with, needs to be better, or what you will commit to every day in 2025… Your partner in pushing #ThingsTannerSays #Founder #Family #Leadership #Accountability

The US disabled unemployment rate should be the same as the US unemployment rate

3rd Party Compliance Management True Stories A new digital accessibility issue popped up again on a widget of one of our fully managed compliance customers. Here’s the first steps of our vendor management playbook. Step 1: Contact the vendor using the details in their accessibility statement, linked in the footer of their homepage.  The email? It bounced. The phone number? Disconnected.   Step 2: Submit a technical support ticket through their system flagging: Your widget… There’s a problem. Here’s the details. Your accessibility statement… There’s a problem. Here’s the details. The result? The vendor got back almost immediately, apologized, prioritized fixing the accessibility issue we reported, got back and successfully closed the ticket so we don’t get sued. Ha, haha ha!! 🤣😂 This isn’t Christmas! It’s 3rd Party Compliance Management True Stories… Back to life🎵… back to reality🎶… After we reported everything through their ticketing system, that’s when it got weird. #TrueStory 1 day later… The 3rd party vendor hasn’t replied to the ticket yet… But we notice mysteriously the URL (.com/accessibility-statement) was replaced with a JavaScript void function. 2 days later, still no change to the ticket. Checking the website again, one of our rockstar compliance team members notes this in our system: OMG, you are not going to believe this, or maybe you will. I just tested the accessibility link in their footer again, and it now works, but it doesn't go to an accessibility statement, it opens the EqualWeb overlay.   No business wants to deal with this. Partnering with a real compliance team matters. Who monitors, investigates, and works to protect you and your visitors makes a difference. Grateful for our amazing team and the trust our clients place in us. If you want to make sure you’re covered for compliance, our team would be happy to see if we can meet your needs. If not, we’ll connect you with someone who will. What’s your 3rd party vendor management true story? Let me know in the comments 😉 #CustomerService #Compliance #Strategy #Partnership #Sales #Leadership #Accessibility #ComplianceManagement #VendorManagement

🎄Better accessibility

  • When we think about accessibility, it becomes clear that it means something different to everyone. For some, it’s about the basics—ramps, wide doorways, and enough space to move freely and comfortably. For others, information is made accessible through visual aids like Braille, screen readers, or large print. For some, it’s about sound, sensory accommodations, or even practical details like spacious restrooms and accessible parking that make them feel truly at ease. Accessibility is personal. It’s not one-size-fits-all. The more we understand and embrace these differences, the more inclusive our world becomes. What does accessibility mean to you? How can we create spaces that are accessible to everyone? Share your thoughts in the comments! https://lnkd.in/g3BT397k #AccessibilityMatters #ReflectAndAct #InclusiveSpaces #DisabilityInclusion
