About us
What sets your coworking space apart? Each one is different. They all have their own awesomeness, their own little something. Each month, I interview one coworking manager from somewhere across the world for 30 min. They tell us what their something special is. Hi, I’m Fanny! I’m your host and passionate about coworking, remote working, nomading, freelancing, and marketing. Many -ing in there. During the day, I help ecommerce managers manage their Google Analytics and optimize their webshop for conversions. When did you first try remote work? For Ivano, it was in 2016. 4 years before the pandemic and quarantine. I was both working and studying at the university. So he just asked his managers. And they said yes. He went to the office twice a week. The rest, he was free to go wherever he wanted. Or needed. And it worked. Yes, remote work works. Even if, at the time, it wasn’t called like that. Watch the full interview on YouTube: https://www.rfr.bz/l6f1801 #coliving #digitalnomad #remotework

You don’t need to have one big coworking space. Smaller spaces are great too. They’re closer to their members. Can be far away in the countryside. And… If members do want the infrastructure of a bigger space... Let them do that. Give them access to bigger spaces in bigger cities. That way, you get the best of both worlds. Small, cozy, close by, and quiet small spaces. Big, dynamic, full of events and community, big space. Why choose? Do both. People just want to get together and solve problems. It happens organically. People in the non-profit industry. People working with AI. They meet up at lunch. And talk. All you have to do is provide them with a tiny bit of support. Let it happen. Just give them the space. What did you do when you first got the chance to work remotely? In most cases, you worked from home. And that can be great. But it’s not working remotely. It’s much broader than that. The truth is… It can be difficult to work from home. It can get lonely. You have the dishes or laundry to do. And... you just cannot stay in your home all the time. It’s a good thing to get out. And work at a cafe, for example. But they can get pretty noisy. In the end, they’re made to drink coffee, not to work. While a coworking space is made to work from it. You meet all kinds of people at a coworking space. Freelancers. Entrepreneurs. Startups. Corporates. SMBs. And from all kinds of different industries. It’s that rich. You get to talk about things. See them from a point of view. You wouldn’t normally do. It’s because it mixes so many flavors. That it can give you such an energy. The pandemic, however awful it might have been, had some silver lining. Just like everything else in life. It was the occasion to choose how you wanted to live. For the first time, living in a big city didn’t mean having more opportunities. Not when everything happens online. You didn’t have to support the high living cost. Or the pollution. Or the stress. You could choose to live in a more rural area. Where you had both more space and time. That was during the pandemic. What about now? What makes a great community manager? It is difficult to learn and do. And not obvious at all. So instead of reinventing the wheel again and again, why not learn it from others? Many coworking spaces have some kind of blueprint, profile of what it takes to build great communities. And there are people out there who are ready to teach you just that. Amazing people. Like Szilvia from the Hungary Coworking Association. Watch the complete interview on YouTube: https://www.rfr.bz/l7244dd

Villages are different from big cities. In big cities, there are many companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs, freelancers, and digital nomads. Not as many in villages. So the role of coworking space changes. In a village, a coworking is a hub. For all the creators and innovators. It is a meeting point. Where they can gather. Discuss. Share. Work together. That is the true meaning behind co-working. Watch the complete interview on YouTube: https://www.rfr.bz/l009f5b

A coworking space is usually a big open space with lots of desks. You’re free to use and change desks as you’d like. It’s open. It’s free. It’s for everyone. And that’s only the start. You can have a kitchen with a big table where everyone has lunch together. Or a terrace to work outside during summer. What about when you have that meeting? Or maybe you need a space all to yourself? Then, coworkings also offer rooms you can book for a meeting or per month. Coworking. Meeting rooms. Private offices. These are the 3 ways a coworking space can be financially sustainable. Watch the complete interview on YouTube: https://www.rfr.bz/lf49f78
