So ensure your habits align with your goals: healthy food, good sleep, daily movement and a clear focus on the tasks that will help you to bounce back effectively. Don't get side-tracked by other tasks until the issue has been fully resolved.

I suggest doing tiny self care steps that onl take minutes to do throughout the day. It could be as easy as looking at photos that make you smile, smelling calming essestial oils, a few rounds of box breathing. Make sure you are eating well to stay fueled and calm

I use major setbacks as wake up calls - a reminder that we are more than just our work. Using bumps in the road to realign how we live, helps us to remember to "be" and not just "do". A detour is only a setback if we decide that there is only one way to get to a destination - if instead we understand the detour is part of the journey and learn from it, we can redefine what a "setback" is. To do this redefinition in our minds, it often takes getting perspective on the situation. The healthiest way to get perspective is to spend time looking after ourselves with self-care. It is a necessity not a nice to have, in this case!

We cannot have the same season throughout the year, likewise we cannot be on a high note every time at work. Setbacks are a natural part of work and they will happen. It is how we deal with setbacks that is important 1. The first step is understanding that setbacks do happen and it is in no way a reflection of your capabilities and self-worth 2. When a setback happens, you must draw upon your expertise and experience and see the setback in a new light of adding to that experience. Maintaining boundaries around the negative voices - whether internal or external - is important 3. You must give time to yourself to recover from the setback. Taking a break, getting new perspectives and investing time on self-care is critical

During times of high stress, physical and mental health often take a backseat, which can prolong recovery from setbacks. Prioritize activities that nurture both. Exercise, whether a walk, yoga, or a workout, releases endorphins, reducing stress and boosting your mood. After a setback, re-establishing confidence and momentum is crucial. Set small, achievable goals that align with self-care, like reducing screen time or setting clear boundaries between work and rest.

Self care is essential to regaining balance and focus. This is how I personally manage stress and recover with resilience 1) Accept the result - Be aware of the impact of failure on your mindset. This will set you free from overthinking 2) Pause for clarity of mind - I usually step away for short periods of time to engage mind in something else i love to do. 3) Set Micro-Goals - I will break the work down into small steps that can be achieved. This helps me to regain lost confidence. 4) Reconnect with Support - Talk to colleague or friends their perspectives can give new insights and reduce stress.
