Starting out as a new entrepreneur is both exhilarating and daunting. The thrill of building something from the ground up is matched only by the weight of uncertainty in decision-making. To strengthen my decision-making confidence, I focus on a few key strategies: 1. Research and Data 2. Mentorship 3. Small Experiments 4. Community Support By combining these approaches, I’m gradually transforming uncertainty into informed confidence, ready to tackle the challenges ahead.

To strengthen decision-making confidence as a new entrepreneur, it's crucial to gather relevant information and seek mentorship. A notable example is Howard Schultz, who transformed Starbucks by initially focusing on customer experience and coffee quality. He surrounded himself with a strong team and sought feedback, which bolstered his confidence in decisions. Embrace a growth mindset by viewing failures as learning opportunities. Additionally, setting clear goals and regularly reviewing progress can enhance your decision-making framework. Engaging with a community of fellow entrepreneurs can also provide support and diverse perspectives, further solidifying your confidence.

Starting as a new entrepreneur, strengthening decision-making confidence comes from a mix of preparation, experience, and trust in yourself. Base your decisions on research and facts. The more informed you are about your market, competition, and customer needs, the more confident you'll feel in making choices.

I have always believed that it is not just what you know but WHO you know. You must surround yourself with a supportive network of people who can provide alternative insights to decisions you are making. I speak to countless people each week from different perspectives and gain so much. You have to keep an open mind. I’m decisive but I respect what others have to say even though it’s not in line with what I think. 🤔 you cannot know everything or always make the best decisions as an entrepreneur. I’ve made mistakes but learn from it. Don’t be afraid to challenge your own decisions and get input from others. My network is invaluable for this.

My perspective… Trust your gut, but always ground it in facts and figures. Mistakes? They’re just part of the learning curve. Own them. Surround yourself with people who push you to think bigger. Flexibility is key—stay open to change, it sharpens your decisions. Risks are part of the game—just make sure they’re calculated, not impulsive. Break down tough decisions into bite-sized, doable steps. Aim for clarity, not perfection. Start, adjust, and keep moving. Your “Why” will always guide you—stay anchored in your purpose. Uncertainty isn’t a roadblock; it’s an opportunity for growth. Confidence comes from taking action, not waiting for the ‘perfect moment.’ #Goalbrew #2ndInnings #entrepreneur

The best thing you can do is to make a decision and stick with it by giving it a fair shot. A terrible thing you can do is to give up before exhausting the attempt. The second most terrible thing you can is to second guess yourself every step of the way. The worst you can do is to not do anything. So, what I find really useful for me is to make a decision quickly, exhaust its possibilities without second guessing myself, and change the plan only after I’m sure I’ve given it a fair shot.

As a new entrepreneur, these things can help build confidence in decision making. 1. Clarity - Knowing Your "Why" & also where you want to go 2. Alignment with our Values 3. Conviction in Ourselves 4. Support from Mentors, Peer Groups or Masterminds
-
I think it's all about the conviction you have in your opinions along with the ability to have critical thinking and the ability to judge a bad decision with the forecast. Never feel ashamed to ask the most basic questions to the smartest people and take some golden works to either fail quickly or find what doesn't work
-
Building decision-making confidence as a novice entrepreneur is a result of both experience and planning. Begin by compiling as much data, market research, and insights from peers or mentors as you can. To make large judgments easier to assess, break them down into smaller, more doable steps. Go with your instincts, but support them with data. Make mistakes; they're important teaching moments that hone your intuition. Don't be scared to make them. To identify blind spots, encircle oneself with a solid support system and look for other viewpoints. Your confidence will inevitably increase as you gain insight into the consequences of your decisions.
