Your public speaking training should include how to: (1) speak with confidence and conviction (2) deal with nervousness (3) use your body language to send a clear message of capability. I would employ these skills in a job interview to my absolute advantage. I would answer the questions carefully, clearly and with a measure of conviction that will convince my interviewers of my suitability. Secondly, I would definitely practice diaphragmatic breathing while speaking so that my voice will be strong and vibrant. The breath work will also help me relax. Lastly, I will sit up, square my shoulders, use expansive gestures when necessary and keep my hands inactive depending on what I have to say. Lastly, I will read the room and make eye contact.

Eye contact is very important when you are in a job interview. If possible, be at ease when you are talking about your attributes and speak at an even level. Breathe and remember that they have been in your position as well.

We can call It the 4x4x4x4 method because it consists in breathing for 4 seconds, holding the breath (4 seconds), exhaling slowly (4 seconds), holding with empty lungs (4 seconds) and repeating the cycle. This technique clears the mind, reduces anxiety and sharpens focus quickly.

Apply them - be clear, concise, coherent, & exude credibility. * COMMUNICATION STYLE. Go for ASSERTIVE STYLE - clear & concise while respecting others. The rest are inappropriate for interviews (manipulative, aggressive or passive-aggressive). * BODY LANGUAGE, DEMEANOR & NON-VERBAL CUES. It has been always considered or recommended to be look bold, confident, mastering the subject, etc … The truth is that we are all humans and not machines. The hiring mechanisms should take into account the human dimension of the interviewee because we all know that we are talking to a human unless otherwise, because the truth is that some companies and organizations see people are numbers. If you feel like you need a 30-second break to breathe or drink water, ask for it. A good leader will see in this self-care, courage, knowing your limits as well.
